#3 Ben Stokes
In the last year’s IPL auction, the odds were that Ben Stokes would grab a good price but the way his bidding panned out was historic. Rising Pune Supergiant bought him for a whopping INR 14.5 crores and the all-rounder repaid the faith by putting in a marvelous performance in his debut season. He played an instrumental part in taking his side to the final.
Recently, he hasn’t had a good time as he was suspended by ECB for his alleged involvement in a brawl in Bristol. He had to miss out on the Ashes berth due to the Police investigation. But now that he is set to return to the field, his IPL bidding might see another tussle amongst the franchises and he could well end up as one of the costliest players again.
