#5 Rohit Sharma
India’s opening batsman Rohit Sharma has been a prolific run-getter in the ODI format. Although he hasn’t been able to replicate that in Test cricket yet he is one of the best in ODI cricket in the modern era. The way he has been contributing to Indian at the opener’s slot, has been instrumental in the team’s success for quite a while.
The right-hander has 5617 runs to his credit in 161 matches. He averages 43.2 and has 12 hundreds and 32 fifties in the format. He is also the only player in the world to score 2 double hundreds in ODIs and his knock of 264 is the highest score in the format. It seems he is far away from 10000 ODI runs but the 30-year-old has plenty of years ahead of him to bring up that landmark.
