A Closing Ceremony For The 2023 World Cup Tournament To Be Held At The Narendra Modi Stadium On The Final Match Day!

The much anticipated match of the tournament concluded yesterday, with India posting a swashbuckling win against New Zealand at the iconic Wankhede Stadium. The first round of the semi-final saw the Men in Blue emerge victorious by a margin of 70 runs against the Kiwis, leading it’s 2023 World Cup campaign forward and reaching the finals that is scheduled to be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Before the commencement of the 2023 World Cup, an opening ceremony was scheduled to be held at the world’s largest cricket stadium i.e Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. But the event got cancelled after both ICC and BCCI didn’t give any confirmation or update for the opening ceremony. The likes of prominent actors and singers like Ranveer Singh, Tamannah Bhatia, Arijit Singh and Ash Bhosle were set to perform at the big event but unfortunately the event had to be called off.

Closing Ceremony likely to be held on the big day!

With no opening ceremony held for the 2023 World Cup, the stage is indeed all set for a closing ceremony at the final match venue, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 19. A tweet by Mufaddal Vohra confirmed this said update. Ahead of the 2023 World Cup, rather than an opening ceremony, the International Cricket Council held a “Captain’s Day” in Ahmedabad only on the day before the first match of the tournament.

Well, in a big marquee tournament like that of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, it is imperative to hold both opening and closing ceremonies. But as the opening ceremony got cancelled this time, a closing ceremony is actually likeable for the big tournament to be concluded.
