Ravi Bishnoi misses Kamindu Mendis’ catch, gets a concussion test
As Sri Lanka opted to bowl first, team India scored 213/7 in 20 overs. In turn, this left a high target score for the Sri Lankans to achieve. With India’s bowling lineup, Sri Lanka had only lost three wickets by the 15th over.
In the 15th over, Ravi Bishnoi was bowling while Kamindu Mendis batted. However, The first ball of that over disappointed Bishnoi. While Kamindu tried to push the googly ball to the left of the bowler, the reached Bishnoi’s Ravi Bishnoi took a dive and tried to catch the hit with one hand.
The catch didn’t work. Not only the ball missed Bishnoi’s hands, but it also hit him right on his face under the eye. Naturally, the physios had to come on the field and check whether Ravi had a concussion. After this Ravi was cleared to play and continued on with the game.
