After facing a shameful 2-0 defeat in their last home Test series against Bangladesh, Pakistan bounced back. They are facing England in the first Test of the two-match Test series Pakistan started strongly. After Siam Ayub’s early dismissal, Abdullah Shafique and Shan Masood’s incredible partnership set the tone of Pakistan’s innings.
Both the batters secured their centuries. Shafique was dismissed scoring 102 runs in 184 balls. On the flip side, Captain Shan Masood crossed the 150-run mark and played a knock of 151 run in 177 balls. Batting at lower order Salman Agha scored another incredible century and remained unbeaten on 104 runs. Saud Shakeel also played an impactful innings of 82 runs. With those combined efforts, Pakistan put on a massive total of 556 runs in their first innings.
