“Yes, Nabi is retiring from ODIs after the Champions Trophy, and he informed the board about his desire,” ACB’s Naseeb Khan confirmed. “He told me a few months back that he wants to end his ODI career after the Champions Trophy, and we welcome his decision.”

“Nabi has informed us of his decision to retire from ODIs following the Champions Trophy. His contributions to Afghan cricket have been unparalleled, and we support his choice,” said Khan. Nabi, now 39, has been a pillar for Afghan cricket, representing the team in 165 ODIs, scoring 3,549 runs and taking 171 wickets.
