A grateful Suryakumar Yadav seeks blessings
Renowned Indian cricketer Suryakumar Yadav visited the famous Sri Hosa Marigudi temple in Udupi, Karnataka, on Tuesday. This visit came after the Indian team’s victorious campaign at the T20 World Cup.
Suryakumar Yadav, accompanied by his wife Devisha Shetty, who hails from Mangaluru, received a warm welcome from the temple management at the Sri Hosa Marigudi temple. The couple was honored with garlands upon their arrival.
During their visit, Suryakumar and Devisha prayed to the temple’s presiding deity, goddess Sri Mariyamma Devi. The temple authorities extended warm hospitality to the couple, and special security arrangements were made by the police in the temple vicinity.
SKY’s feelings after winning the T20 World Cup 2024
As team India won their first ICC trophy since 2013 and their first World Cup trophy after 2011, the players were overjoyed. Team India was seen sharing tearful moments of celebration with each other and their families. However, Suryakumar Yadav admits that the win hasn’t quite sunk in.
“Obviously very happy. But it will maybe take a day or two to sink in. To win from the position we were in was incredible. But I think very happy.” SKY said.
“Every moment I have been in that dressing room I have enjoyed a lot. Look (gestures at the rain falling) even God is watching what we have been going through in the last two years.” he added.
