Skipper Mitchell Marsh scored 39 runs in just 12 balls. Josh Inglish remained unbeaten on 27 runs.

Depending on that excellence, Australia defeated Scotland by 7 wickets and took the lead of the series by 1-0. After the win, Marsh said, “Always nice to start the tour with a win, you talk about winning the 1st game in a three-game series.”

Initially in the match, Australia won the toss and opted to bowl first. While bowling first, the Aussie bowlers gave a dominating start. Xavier Bartlett secured the first wicket by dismissing Ollie Hairs. Sean Abbott shined bright with the ball by securing three wickets in 39 runs. Bartlett and Adam Zampa secured 2 wickets each. Cameron Green and Riley Meredith secured 1 each. They restricted the Scottish side to 154 runs.
After the win, Mitchell Marsh praised the bowlers. He said, “Thought they were all really good, really clear about what they were trying to do, lot of energy and the boys fielded well, that’s all we can ask.”
