Kuldeep Yadav delivered a length ball aimed at the pads, angling in towards leg stump. Marsh skillfully executed his signature pull-sweep, sending the ball forcefully behind square leg with a decisive shot.
But Mitchell Marsh was unlucky this time. Axar Patel timed his leap to perfection at deep square leg, extending his right hand high above his head to snatch the ball out of the air. Despite being slightly delayed, he managed to grasp it firmly with his non-dominant hand, securing a crucial catch.
The Thrilling Showdown in Daren Sammy:
In the ongoing T20 World Cup, Team India is showcasing excellent form. They faced an early setback in the first innings when Virat Kohli was dismissed for a duck. However, Rohit Sharma took charge, smashing a quick half-century in just 19 balls and went on to score a powerful 92 off 41 balls, giving a significant boost to the team. Rishabh Pant partnered with him, adding 87 runs, while Suryakumar Yadav scored 31 runs and Shivam Dube contributed 28 runs. Hardik Pandya finished unbeaten with 27 runs, and Ravindra Jadeja added 9 runs, helping India reach a total of 205-5 in 20 overs.
On the flip side, Australia faced a setback after losing David Warner’s wicket in the very first over. After that, Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh continued their partnership of 81 runs. Marsh walked away in 37 runs. Glenn Maxwell added 20 runs. Head is still batting on 73 runs in 37 balls. In the 16th over, Australia is 141-4.
