Fielding at long-on, Badoni flew to his right to grab the ball off Jawadullah’s bat in the 15th over, helping Ramandeep Singh secure his second wicket. 

This moment marked one of the match’s most spectacular highlights as India A bowled out UAE for just 107 runs in 16.5 overs.

The catch not only helped dismiss UAE’s tailender for just 1 run but also showcased Badoni’s athletic prowess. 

Rasikh Salam’s fiery bowling earlier had already crippled the UAE batting lineup, taking three wickets in his opening over. Salam finished with impressive figures of 3/15, playing a key role in reducing UAE to 40/5 inside the powerplay.

India A Cruise to Victory with a Dominant Batting Display

India A’s chase was as dominant as their bowling. Abhishek Sharma led the charge with a blistering knock of 58 runs off just 24 balls, leaving no room for a UAE comeback.

India sealed the victory with 55 balls to spare, making it their second win in the tournament. 

Badoni, who had already made headlines with his acrobatic catch, wrapped up the match in style by hitting a six and a four to chase down the target of 108.

“I was just looking to time the ball well, I never thought I would end up hitting 19 sixes in an innings. I just focus on timing the ball and not trying to hit the ball hard,” Badoni told PTI Videos.

Badoni’s performance is also expected to solidify his place in the Lucknow Super giants IPL team, following his stellar innings in the Delhi Premier League earlier this season.
