During their bowling innings, Pakistan’s Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, and Mohammad Amir showcased exceptional performance, with Shah and Rauf claiming 3 wickets each while Amir took 2 wickets. Their combined efforts stifled the Indian batting lineup, including key players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, and Hardik Pandya, who were dismissed early. Consequently, India was restricted to a total of just 119 runs, highlighting Pakistan’s dominance on the field.

Pakistan’s batting lineup faced a significant setback against the Indian bowling attack, struggling to maintain momentum throughout their innings. Despite contributions from players like Mohammad Rizwan, Imad Wasim, and captain Babar Azam, the team encountered difficulties as their entire lineup collapsed. With a total of only 113 runs on the scoreboard at the end of their innings, Pakistan’s batting performance raised concerns about their ability to counter the opposition’s bowling prowess effectively.

Babar Azam on the Defeat:

The day was disappointing for the Pakistani side as they faced a 6-run defeat. While talking about this defeat, he said, “We bowled well. In the batting, lost back to back wickets and had too much dot balls. Tactics was simple to play normally. Just strike rotation and the odd boundary. But in that period we had too many dot balls. Can’t expect much from tailenders. Our mind was to utilise first overs in batting. But one wicket down, and again we weren’t up to the mark in first six.”

A lot of buzz was going over the pitch. While talking about this, he said, “Pitch looked decent. Ball was coming on nicely. It was a little bit slow, and some balls extra bounce. Have to win last two matches. Will sit and discuss our mistakes but looking forward to last two matches.”
