“Back loading the hammy”: Stokes’ Road to Recovery, Gym Time and Determination

Ben Stokes, the all-rounder for England, is back in action. Recent video of the famous cricket player shows him pushing himself to the maximum in the weight room as he carefully works on his comeback from a hamstring injury.

Ben Stokes Recovers From Hamstring Injury 

On Wednesday, September 11, England Test captain Ben Stokes posted a video of himself working out on his Instagram account while he continues to heal from a hamstring injury. In July, Stokes guided England to a 3-0 series win over the West Indies.

But he sustained the injury while participating in The Hundred, limping off the field after the Northern Superchargers and Manchester Originals game with only two runs off four deliveries. Stokes was thus unable to participate in the most recent three-Test series against Sri Lanka at home.The English all-rounder posted a video of his workout routine on Wednesday in an effort to expedite his recuperation. With a caption, he posted: “Back loading the hammy.”

In Stokes’s absence, Ollie Pope took over as captain for the series against Sri Lanka. Joe Root guided England to a five-wicket victory in the opening game, chasing 205 runs and maintaining their unbeaten record at 62. In the second game, Root continued to play brilliantly, scoring two centuries in a row. As England won the match by 190 runs, he tied Sir Alastair Cook’s record of 33 centuries in the first innings then broke it in the second. England took a 62-run lead into the first innings of the last match.

Ben Stokes Returns To The Team 

On October 7, Pakistan will welcome England for a three-match Test series. Ben Stokes, who is currently recuperating from a hamstring injury, will be a stronger asset for the visiting team.Zak Crawley rejoins the team after suffering a finger fracture in July. Jack Leach and Rehan Ahmed have also been picked by England to bolster their spin attack.
