In the second over, Taskin Ahmed came to bowl. He delivered a short, off-speed ball that the batter tried to hit through the covers. Instead, he sent it directly to Shanto at mid-off, who made a solid catch. Samson was dismissed after scoring just 10 runs, marking a disappointing end to his innings.
In the final delivery of the third over, Abhishek Sharma was dismissed. Tanzim Hasan Shakib bowled a short ball just outside off. Suryakumar Yadav played his drive too early, resulting in an easy catch for Shanto at mid-off. He departed after scoring 8 runs. This marked Bangladesh’s third wicket in the Powerplay.
Team India Bounced Back:
After a shaky start, losing their top three batters early, Team India made a strong comeback. Nitish Kumar Reddy and Rinku Singh played vital roles in stabilizing the innings. Nitish Reddy achieved his maiden half-century in international cricket, scoring 74 runs off just 34 balls. His impressive strike rate of 217.65 showcased his aggressive batting style.
Rinku Singh also made a significant contribution, reaching his half-century and remaining unbeaten on 53 runs from 26 balls. Together, they helped Team India recover well. By the end of the 17th over, the team stood at 185 runs for 4 wickets
