“India batted really well. They do that not only in Indian conditions but all the conditions.

They batted well till the end,” Taskin said, reflecting on the team’s consistent ability to adjust and succeed, even after an early collapse at 41/3.

He credited Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh’s crucial partnership of 108 runs, which helped India recover and set a challenging target of 221/9.

Taskin noted that India’s depth in batting is one of the key reasons for their success, with every player contributing under pressure, ensuring the team stays competitive regardless of the situation.

Reflecting on Bangladesh’s Performance

On the flip side, Taskin candidly assessed Bangladesh’s shortcomings in the match, particularly in their batting department.

Despite the pitch being favourable for batting, Bangladesh was unable to capitalise, managing only 135/9 in response to India’s target of 222.

Taskin remarked, “The wicket was good for batting, but we did not bat well to our potential.”

He acknowledged that while the conditions were in their favour, the team struggled to convert opportunities into runs, barring Mahmudullah’s contributions.

Taskin also reflected on his personal performance, stating that he focused on sticking to his game plan and felt clearer in executing it than in the previous match.

India now leads the series 2-0, with Nitish Rana being named the Player of the Match for his all-round contributions.
