“BazBall is a copycat product of” Michael Vaughan Faces Backlash After Comparing India’s Day 4 Thrill to ‘Bazball’

India’s Attacking Display on Day 4:

After winning the first Test match against Bangladesh by a massive 280-run margin in Chennai, they moved to Kanpur for the second Test. But the beginning of the second Test match was disappointing and the second and third day was called off due to rain. After Bangladesh were bowled out for 231 in the second session, India’s openers went on a record-breaking spree. They smashed the fastest-ever team 50 in Test cricket history, quickly followed by the fastest 100, 150, 200, and 250. 

Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul both hit rapid half-centuries, making the Bangladeshi bowlers struggle. Captain Rohit Sharma entertained the crowd by smashing two consecutive sixes to get off the mark, scoring a brisk 23 from just 11 balls. Virat Kohli also contributed with an impressive 47. India declared their innings at 285/9 after dominating the session with aggressive batting.

Vaughan’s Comparison With ‘Bazball’: 

After India played aggressive cricket, Social media erupted in praise for them. Former England player Micheal Vaughan also praised the Indian side but in a different way. He compared India’s attacking approach to ‘Bazball’. He said, “I see India are playing Bazball ..”.

Vaughan’s remark didn’t sit well with many Indian fans, who flooded the comments section, heavily trolling him. His tweet quickly went viral, sparking a wave of reactions as Indian supporters voiced their displeasure at the comparison.
