2. Of the six retained players, no more than five can be capped, while up to two uncapped players may be retained.
3. Each franchise will have an auction purse of ₹120 crores.
4. Every team member, including the Impact Player, will receive a separate match fee of ₹7.5 lakh in addition to their contract.
5. All overseas players must register for the auction; failure to do so will disallow participation in the next year’s auction.
6. If a player becomes unavailable after being selected at the auction, they will be banned from the next two IPL seasons.
7. Any capped Indian player who last played internationally five or more years ago will be classified as uncapped, allowing MS Dhoni to be retained as such by CSK.
8. The Impact Player rule will remain in effect until at least the 2027 IPL edition.
