As the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 tournament heads to the Super Eight stage after numerous matches full of suspense and thrill. On a lighter note, the ICC asked several players about who they believed made the best pull shot in cricket history. While some players named the Australian legend Ricky Ponting, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan says Rohit Sharma has best pull shot.
In a video shared online by the ICC on their Instagram handle, the ex Australia player and all time legend, Ricky Ponting himself admitted that Rohit is one of the best pull-shot artists as he heard the responses from the players.
Ricky or Rohit, who has the best pull shot?
In a video posted online by the ICC, several players were asked who they think had the best pull shot in the game. All answers only oscillates between 2 names, Ricky Ponting and Rohit Sharma.
South African spinner Tabraiz Shamsi went with Ponting. On the other hand, Afghanistan skipper Rashid Khan picked Rohit as his best puller.
Rohit and Rashid are to face off against each other as India and Afghanistan look towards a match on 20 June.

There is no competition between the two, as Rohit Sharma and Ricky Ponting are both celebrated and exceptionally talented batsmen in two different timelines.
In Tests and One Day Internationals, Ponting has scored more than 13,000 runs with 71 centuries in 543 matches during his illustrious career. In 2003 and 2007, the former captain also guided Australia to two One Day International World Cup titles.
On the other hand, in the past decade and a half, Rohit has been one of India’s most successful batsmen with almost 19,000 ICC runs and 48 centuries. He has also captained India since February 2022, leading them to the World Test Championship and ODI World Cup final last year.
