Pakistani fans are enjoying some nail-biting T20 fixtures. The Pakistan Super League is going on. Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf will not be able to continue playing in the current Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024. He suffered a shoulder injury during a match against Karachi Kings while playing for Lahore Qalandars. Rauf dislocated his shoulder on the second last ball of the game, leading to his withdrawal from the tournament.
Haris Rauf’s Injury and Official Statement:
Lahore Qalandars’ fast bowler, Haris Rauf, will no longer be part of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine due to a shoulder injury sustained during a match against Karachi Kings at the Gaddafi Stadium on February 24. The injury occurred in the 20th over of the game when Rauf landed awkwardly on his shoulder while making a spectacular catch to dismiss Hasan Ali. Initially, it seemed the catch was not cleanly taken, but the third umpire eventually ruled it out.
After the incident, the 30-year-old left the field with his arm strapped, visibly in discomfort. Subsequent scans were conducted to assess the extent of the damage. Following a thorough evaluation, the medical panel concluded that Rauf would require four to six weeks for recovery. As a result, he will be absent for the remainder of the PSL season.
This setback comes as a blow to Lahore Qalandars, losing a key player like Rauf, known for his pace and crucial contributions. The team will now have to reevaluate its strategies and potentially find a replacement for the crucial matches ahead in the tournament.
After that injury, the team gave an official statement. The statement said, “Haris Rauf, Pakistan and Lahore Qalandars’ premier fast bowler will be unavailable for the remainder of the Pakistan Super League after suffering a dislocated shoulder during a narrow defeat against Karachi Kings last night.”
