After meeting PM Narendra Modi in Delhi earlier in the morning, the team departed for Mumbai and joined the fans in the victory parade. The day ended with a special program at the Wankhede Stadium. But that was not the end, captain Rohit Sharma received a grand welcome at home and that video has gone viral.
Team India’s Eventful Day:
After being struck on the Caribbean island due to some natural calamities, the entire team landed at the Delhi airport early morning on July 4. Even though it was raining, the fans ignored all the disturbance to see the World Cup heroes. After reaching Delhi, the entire team met PM Narendra Modi at his residence. That was a wrap-up for their Delhi schedule. But Mumbai was waiting for the champs.
The Mumbai was waiting with some best welcome for the heroes. As the flight touched down at the Mumbai airport, the world champions’ received a prestigious water salute. The real surprises were waiting for the team in the victory fans. The entire city gathered at the Marine Drive just to see the heroes with the long-desired trophy.
The players enjoyed the entire victory parade and then came to the Wankhede Stadium. Now, the fans celebrated each of their heroics in the loudest way. The entire stadium was packed up and celebrating the victory. Rohit and the other players received the prize money from BCCI and ended the day with an exciting victory lap throughout the ground.

After returning home, the India captain received warm congratulations from his family and close friends. Among them was his Mumbai Indians teammate Tilak Varma, donning a Rohit Sharma T-shirt, who greeted him with a salute. A viral video captured the moment when they mobbed Rohit, expressing their joy with hugs and lifting him onto their shoulders as he performed the iconic Ric Flair walk with the T20 World Cup trophy.
The celebrations continued as Rohit Sharma, along with teammates Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube, and Yashasvi Jaiswal, received a special invitation from Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to the Maharashtra Assembly on Friday.
