The prestigious Caribbean Premier League is back with another exciting season. The 12th edition of the tournament is set to be staged on August 30. Antigua & Barbuda is all set to make its debut in this tournament this year. The other five teams are also set to showcase their excellence. The final match is scheduled to take place on October 7. The cricket world is all set to witness another thrilling T20 tournament.
Teams and Format:
The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024 is set to begin on August 29 with six teams battling for the championship. The teams competing this season are Antigua & Barbuda Falcons, Barbados Royals, Guyana Amazon Warriors, St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, Saint Lucia Kings, and Trinbago Knight Riders.
This season marks the debut of the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons, the newest team in the CPL. The tournament will feature a total of 34 matches, including the playoffs. Each team will play a double round-robin format during the league stage. After 2019, the home-away format is coming back in this edition.
After the league stage, the top four teams will advance to the playoffs. The CPL promises an exciting season with a competitive edge as the teams vie for the title. Fans can look forward to thrilling cricketing action throughout the tournament.
