The Caribbean leg of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup trophy tour has commenced, starting from April 12 and concluding on April 20. This tour marks the countdown to the upcoming tournament, with the final scheduled to take place in Barbados on June 29.
The prestigious trophy will journey through the vibrant islands of Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda, and Saint Lucia from April 12 to April 20. It will then make a return trip from May 16 to May 24, visiting Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, and Guyana.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup trophy tour began with an international launch in the USA, featuring a dazzling display as USA player Ali Khan and two-time T20 World Cup winner Chris Gayle illuminated the iconic Empire State Building. Now, the focus shifts to the West Indies, where six host venues eagerly await the trophy’s arrival.
This tour provides a unique opportunity for the Caribbean to shine on a global stage, and it allows fans to be part of the excitement by capturing memorable moments with the trophy that all 20 international teams will vie for in June.
Fans can join the festivities at various stops along the tour, including cultural displays, street parties, parades, and interactions with cricket legends.
