Chloe Tryon Returns to South Africa Squad for the T20I Series Against India After Injury

After that, in the only Test match, India registered a massive 10 wickets win. They are now ready to compete in a three-match T20 series. All-rounder Chloe Tryon has been selected for South Africa’s T20I squad against India after recovering from a back injury that kept her out since April this year.

All-rounder Chloe Tryon has been included in South Africa’s squad for the T20I series in India following her recovery from a back injury that kept her out since April this year. Delmi Tucker and Nondumiso Shangase are set to depart after the one-off Test in Chennai, making way for Tryon’s return. 

She was officially cleared to play after her injury layoff, with her last match appearance being in the second T20I against Sri Lanka Women earlier this year. Tryon’s reinstatement adds depth to the squad, providing South Africa with a seasoned player known for her all-round capabilities. 

South Africa Women’s interim head coach, Dillon du Preez, looks forward to Chloe Tryon’s comeback to competitive cricket, highlighting her valuable experience and contribution to the team. Preez said, “She [Tryon] brings a lot of experience to the team and we can’t wait to see her back on the field. We have our last three T20I matches against India. This will give us some time to look at one or two options before we go home and start our final preparation for the T20 World Cup in Bangladesh.”
