Bumrah’s spell on Afghanistan bowlers
Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has continued to impress cricketers and viewers with his prowess in the field. The Indian veteran is known for his adaptability in all forms of cricket, irrespective of the pitches and weather.
After the Afghanistan team lost their match against India, batsman Suryakumar Yadav became the Player Of The Match. However, it was Bumrah who was equally lauded for his consistent performance in the match.
Bumrah not only dismissed Najibullah Zadran and Hazratullah Zazai, but also got rid of Afghanistan’s leading scorer Rahmanullah Gurbaz with his clever bowling.
Afghanistan coach on Jasprit Bumrah
After his team’s 47-run loss against a team as big as India, Afghanistan‘s coach has joined in on accepting the fact that Jasprit is a force to reckon.
Afghanistan coach Jonathan Trott said, “Obviously disappointed with a few of the shots or the decision-making, Bumrah is going to be a key bowler for any side.”
“He’s crucial for India and we needed to play him better. We’d obviously spoken about it and how we were going to play him, but couldn’t execute”. He added.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma had also praised Bumrah after winning the match. “We know what Bumrah can do for us. It is important for us to use him smartly. He is the one who is ready to take the responsibility as well. Wherever he plays, he is always ready to take the responsibility.” Rohit said.
