On September 7, the nation celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with immense emotion and dedication. The elephant-headed god, Lord Ganesha, also referred to as the God of knowledge and fresh starts, is welcomed with a feast in Hinduism. On this day, people celebrate by installing new idols of Lord Ganesha in their homes.

Along with his family, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar participated in the celebrations at his house. Tendulkar posted a video of himself doing puja while welcoming Lord Ganesha home with his family.
Tendulkar stated in his post, “As we welcome Lord Ganesha into our homes, may he remove all obstacles and fill our lives with joy and prosperity.”
Tendulkar lauded Maharashtra Govt. for honoring Ramakant Achrekar
Recently, Tendulkar praised the Maharashtra government for their choice to erect a statue of Dhronacharya awardee Ramakant Archrekar in Shivaji Park, honoring his childhood coach. Before making his Indian debut and going on to become one of the greatest hitters of all time, Tendulkar received training under Achrekar at Shivaji Park as a youngster.
Tendulkar also posted a photo of the location in Shivaji Park where his childhood coach Archrekar’s statue will be placed. The Master Blaster started playing cricket there when he was a young boy. In addition to Tendulkar, Achrekar also served as a coach for Rames Powar, Lalchand Rajput, Ajit Agarkar, and Vinod Kambli.
