Cricketer S Sreesanth finds himself in legal trouble as a case has been registered against him and two others based on a cheating complaint filed in North Kerala. The complainant, Sareesh Gopalan from Choonda, accuses Sreesanth, along with Rajiv Kumar and Venkatesh Kini, of taking Rs 18.70 lakh under false pretences related to a sports academy venture.
The Cheating Complaint
The complainant alleges that Rajiv Kumar and Venkatesh Kini lured him into investing Rs 18.70 lakh on various dates from April 25, 2019. The accused claimed to be establishing a sports academy in Kollur, Karnataka, in which Sreesanth purportedly held a partnership. Sareesh Gopalan claims to have invested the money with the promise of becoming a partner in the said academy.
