Derbyshire Signs Caleb Jewell as Overseas Batter for Upcoming 2025 Season

Another exciting thing is coming up in the county cricket. As a new season is coming up, Derbyshire signed an interesting contract. Australian batter Caleb Jewell who represented Australia A earlier has joined Derbyshire for the 2025 season and is set to play for the club.   

New Assignment of Derbyshire:

Derbyshire has signed batter Caleb Jewell as an overseas player for the 2025 season. Jewell has played for Australia A. The Aussie star is set to participate in all formats for the team. His addition marks the club’s second signing for the upcoming campaign.

Jewell boasts an average of 31.47 in first-class cricket. He played a key role for Tasmania in the 2023-24 Sheffield Shield, where the team reached the finals. During this season, he achieved a career-best score of 227 against Western Australia.

In addition to his first-class achievements, Jewell has amassed over 2,200 runs in white-ball formats. He has four List-A centuries and five T20 half-centuries to his credit. His diverse skill set and experience make him a valuable asset for Derbyshire as they look to strengthen their lineup for the 2025 season.
