DPL 2024: Most Runs Updated After PD 6 vs CDK Match No. 27

Another new day unfolded at the Delhi Premier League. In the 27th match of the league, Purani Delhi 6 locked horns with Central Delhi Kings. In this thrilling clash, the cricket fans witnessed some intense battle between batters from both teams. Their dazzling displays made a big impact in the most run list of the tournament. 

Purani Delhi 6 Batters Hustled Hard: 

While batting in the first innings, Purani Delhi 6 lost their first two wickets quickly. Arpit Ranawas dismissed on a duck. Manjeet was dismissed scoring only 1 run. Arnav Bugga played a knock of 16 runs in 11 balls. After losing the first few wickets, the team bounced back. Standing in a crucial position, Yug Gupta played a knock of 44 runs in 30 balls. 

Keshav Dalal also added crucial 28 runs in 20 balls. Lalit Yadav played a crucial role in boosting their innings. He played an unbeaten knock of 46 runs in just 29 balls with 4 boundaries and an over-boundary. Sumit Chhikara remained unbeaten on 19 runs in 10 balls. After 20 overs, they scored 173/6. 

Central Delhi Kings Fell Short: 

While batting in the second innings, the central Delhi Kings struggled. They lost their first two wickets early. The openers were dismissed scoring 3 and 2 runs. After that, Lakshay Thareja and Hiten Dalal tried to make an impactful partnership. Lakshay Thareja scored 34 runs in 26 balls and Hiten added 27 runs.

After that, captain Jonty Sidhu scored a crucial half-century and played a knock of 52 runs in 34 deliveries with 3 boundaries and 3 over-boundaries. Aryan Rana scored 8 runs in 10 balls. Sumit Kumar was dismissed scoring 3 runs. But they fell short and ended their innings in 140 runs. Purani Delhi 6 defeated them by 33 runs.
