She was full of praise for the team and urged them to take advantage of the chance to win the trophy and take home the trophy, as the men’s team had done previously.

Edulji said the World Cup is quite open when talking about the competition. She called attention to Bangladesh’s outstanding showing in the Asia Cup and emphasized that India should play to their advantage.

Identifying spin bowling as one of India’s primary advantages, Edulji praised Deepti Sharma’s ability to smash in the last overs and her consistent form since 2017. She also highlighted the strength of India’s spin department and cited Shreyanka Patil as a future star. But she also emphasized the need for pace bowling, citing Renuka Singh as an essential player.

“Our strength is our spinners, Deepti Sharma has been in form since 2017, she will be important for us in the final overs. We also have Shreyanka Patil, so we have plenty of spinners. We have got more than 5-6 bowlers, so there should not be any problem,” she added.
