England’s 38 Hours Marathon Journey to India Ahead of the World Cup

It is less than a week before the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. In the inaugural match, England will face New Zealand. But before that, all teams will be playing Warm-up matches against each other. For the World Cup-bound teams are arriving in India. But star England wicketkeeper-batter Jonny Bairstow’s Instagram story caught netizen’s attention. England’s team already left for India ahead of the World Cup. they have traveled more than 38 hours.

England will start their World Cup campaign on October 5 by playing the inaugural match against New Zealand. England’s team has left to play the biggest tournament. But from Bairstow’s story, it seems like this journey was not a comfortable one. Their journey was more than 38 hours. Their trip began on Wednesday. 

England wicketkeeper-batter took his Insta handle to share this experience. Sharing a photo of that flight he wrote, ‘ Last leg incoming…. Been some trip.’ he said this journey is utter chaos. He put this story at night. Finally, they arrived in India on the morning of September 29.

England’s fixtures ahead of the World Cup:

Before the main World Cup matches, England will play two warm-up matches one against India and the other one against Bangladesh on September 30 and October 3. Games will be arranged at Barsapara Stadium, Guwahati. They will start their campaign on October 5 against New Zealand at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

They were the defending champions in the last edition. England will play matches around India throughout the World Cup. They are on a good rhythm before the World Cup.
