While an official announcement regarding Srikkanth’s appointment is expected later this month, sources close to the franchise indicate that his move is part of a broader strategy by CSK to enhance its performance across all its franchises. Reports suggest that he will oversee not only the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL but also the Jo’burg Super Kings in SA20 and Texas Super Kings in Major League Cricket (MLC).
The decision comes in the wake of Dwayne Bravo’s recent shift from CSK to KKR as their new mentor. Bravo, who has been a pivotal figure in CSK’s success over the years, announced his retirement from professional cricket shortly before taking on this new role.
