Former RCB Player And San Francisco Unicorns Opener Finn Allen Left Disappointed Over His Century

Finn Allen, previously with RCB, delivered a crucial century in the MLC 2024 Challenger match. His team, San Francisco Unicorns, faced Texas Super Kings in Dallas on July 27. The batsman scored 101 runs in the match, taking his team to victory with 10 runs. However, he is unhappy over his performance.

Allen’s 101 runs propelled his team to 200/6. However, he expressed dissatisfaction with his performance. Despite this being his third T20 hundred, Allen considered it his least impressive. The match-winning innings helped the Unicorns advance, but Allen remained critical of his own play.

“Not the most fluid innings” Allen says

The former RCB Player is not satisfied with his own performance in the TSKvsSFU match. Speaking on the same, Finn Allen said that he had better expectations from himself, and he wanted to ace the conditions.

The batter scored 101 runs in merely 53 balls. He also hit 14 boundaries, with 9 fours and 5 sixes. Finn became the Player Of The Match after his gamechanging performance.

“Probably my worst one, not the most fluid innings. I think there was some thinking after the last couple of games, I wanted to give myself more of a chance. The wicket had a bit of variable bounce so I just wanted to stay still and hit through the line.” Allen said.

“They are quality spinners but I just wanted to play the conditions. The way Noor bowled, he wasn’t getting too much bounce so it was difficult to face him. I think we have a good score,” He added.

His self-assessment contrasts with the match outcome. Allen’s century proved decisive, yet he felt it didn’t meet his personal standards.

This perspective highlights Allen’s high expectations, even when delivering game-changing performances.
