Shikhar Dhawan’s Retirement
On August 24, Indian cricket player Shikhar Dhawan posted on social media to announce his retirement from both domestic and international cricket. Dhawan established himself as a mainstay in the Indian squad ever since his outstanding exploits in the 2013 Champions Trophy.

In 2022, he participated in his final international match before being replaced by younger players like Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan. Meanwhile, Dhawan was questioned concerning the possibility of a biopic being filmed about his life not long after he declared his retirement. Speaking on the subject, the southpaw said he would adore seeing a biopic about his life produced. He also suggested that Ranveer Singh or Akshay Kumar be considered to play him.
Dhawan’s View On His Biopic:
Dhawan said:“I would love it, only if it is made well. As for me acting in it, I would happily do it in case I added any value to the film. As for other actors, I would love for Akshay paaji (Akshay Kumar) to do it, or even Ranveer Singh, for the sheer energy he has.”
If a biography is created on him, Dhawan was questioned about the actors who could play his part on screen. The former opener said that while he would be willing to perform it personally, he has selected superstars Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar for the role of other actors.
