Both teams met in the only Test match of the series. In the longest format, Harmanpreet Kaur and the girls registered a massive 10-wicket win over the opponent. Following their victorious one-off Test against South Africa, Harmanpreet Kaur, captain of the Indian women’s cricket team, visited the Tirupati Balaji Temple in Andhra Pradesh. She was joined by teammates Renuka Singh, Shafali Verma, Pooja Vastrakar, and Deepti Sharma, all dressed in traditional attire for the spiritual outing on Wednesday.

A video capturing their temple entry has circulated widely online. The players, including Harmanpreet Kaur, Shafali Verma, Pooja Vastrakar, Deepti Sharma, and Renuka Singh, offered prayers following their cricket victory. They also took photos with fans and cricket enthusiasts present at the temple, sharing moments of celebration and spirituality after their successful match against South Africa.

India triumphed over England and Australia in Tests held in Mumbai last year. Adding to this streak, they secured a decisive victory against the South African Women’s team. At the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, India displayed remarkable determination, overcoming the Proteas’ efforts to salvage the one-off Test. The hosts maintained composure and clinched a commanding 10-wicket win, marking their third consecutive Test victory at home.

In this match, India Women’s belated first and put on a huge total of 604/6 and they declared the innings. Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana took the inning on a different level by their excellence. Shafali completed his first-ever double-century and played a knock of 205 runs in 197 deliveries. On the other hand, Smriti Mandhana scored 149 runs in 161 balls. Jemimiah Rodrigues, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, and Richa Ghosh completed their half-centuries. 

The bowlers were not far behind. Sneh Rana was unstoppable. She secured 8 wickets in 77 runs. Deepti Sharma secured 2 wickets by conceding 27 runs. In the second innings, Sneh Rana secured another 2 wickets. She ended up the match with a 10-wicket haul. Deepti Sharma and Rajeshwari Gayakwad secured two wickets each. With that exceptional dominance, they bagged the Test match by a massive 10-wicket win.
