Royal Challengers Bangalore are ready to welcome Wanindu Hasaranga and Josh Hazlewood in the IPL 2023. Harasanga will join the league by 10th of April while Hazlewood will join the team on 14th April. Meanwhile, RCB are gearing up to face Kolkata Knight Riders in today’s IPL match at Eden, Kolkata.
Josh Hazlewood was a consistent performer for Royal Challengers Bangalore in Powerplay and death overs. His injury has kept him away from the field for a while. Last year saw the Australian taking 20 wickets for RCB and no wonder, his return to the franchise will motivate the side a lot. The Aussie pacer is currently recovering from an Achilles heel injury that he sustained in Sydney in January following which he could not participate in Australia tour of India.
Wanindu Hasaranga, on the other hand, has been team’s leading spinner since the release of Yuzvendra Chahal. He was busy with Sri Lanka in the T20I series against New Zealand and therefore had to miss first few games.
Royal Challengers Bangalore star batsmen Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar have already been ruled out of the entire tournament of IPL 2023. Micheal Bracewell has replaced Will Jacks but Rajat Patidar’s replacement has not been announced yet.
RCB will be starting as favourites against KKR today after winning the match against Mumbai India. They won the match convincingly by eight wickets as Virat Kohli led the win with an unbeaten 49-ball 82.
