Steve Smith scored 33 and Lalit Yadav scored an unbeaten 22 to continue with the momentum. Later 9-ball 14* cameo from Shimron Hetmyer helped the Capitals complete the chase successfully.
Mumbai Indians captain went on to praise the Capitals bowlers. He also opined that dew is not the main factor, playing smart cricket in important to win. “Credit to Delhi bowlers – they kept the pressure up and kept taking wickets. We knew dew was going to come in. We saw in the last few games that it’s not that difficult to grip the ball. Dew is not really the factor. You need to play smart cricket to win which we did not do today.”
