India all-rounder Shivam Dube was ruled out of the T20I series against Bangladesh due to a back injury, as announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Tilak Varma was named as his replacement.
India was set to play three T20Is against Bangladesh, with the first match scheduled in Gwalior.

The BCCI’s official statement mentioned, “All-rounder Shivam Dube was ruled out of the three-match T20I series owing to a back injury. The Senior Selection Committee named Tilak Varma as Shivam’s replacement. Tilak would join the squad in Gwalior on Sunday morning

Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and chose to bowl first in the 1st T20I against Bangladesh. This match marks his second series as T20I captain, following a successful outing against Sri Lanka.
India welcomes debutants Nitish Kumar Reddy and Mayank Yadav, while Varun Chakravarthy returns to the squad.
Bangladesh’s captain, Najmul Hossain Shanto, also preferred to bowl first.
