Starc’s Absence:

In the 24th match of the T20 World Cup 2024, Australia and Namibia are set to lock horns at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua. Australia is high on confidence after two consecutive wins in the tournament. But before the match against Namibia, Australia faced a setback. Star Aussie bowler Mitchell Starc is missing out on the match.

Starc’s absence is a big setback. Though it is not official, it has been heard that, the veteran bowler is dealing with a niggle. Although, it is not serious. The change in the squad is just precautionary. He also faced cramps against Oman. As the niggle is not a serious one, he might be back in the next match.

In Starc’s absence, Nathan Ellis has been named in the squad. Ellis has been in great form, shining in the warm-up games, especially against Namibia in Trinidad where he gave up just 17 runs in four overs. He also performed well in Australia’s opener against Oman. However, Pat Cummins replaced him for the match against England.
