As West Indies England are all set to lock horns, West Indies player Shai Hope is absent from today’s playing xi. He played the last game and scored 25 runs in 17 balls. But now he is missing out on the match against England. Though the reason is not clear but it can be a tactical change by the team management.
Star Caribbean batter Roston Chase replaced him in the squad. Chase has been in good form throughout the tournament and is now set to play against England. At the time of the toss, Rovman Powell talked about the change. He said, “ Hopefully, our batters can make the most of it here. Two changes – Roston Chase in for Shai Hope, Romario in for Obed McCoy.”

In this match, England won the toss and opted to bowl first. After winning the toss, Jos Buttler said, “ We’ll bowl first. It is a good wicket and we fancy a chase. One change from the last game – Mark Wood comes in for Chris Jordan. (On Livingstone) He’s fit to play a full game, a few games have been a bit sick. The West Indies is the place to be, there is a great atmosphere.”
