Level Infinite, publisher of the popular mobile MOBA Honor of Kings, has announced its 2025 esports roadmap. The upcoming season will feature three global tournaments and two regional leagues, designed to strengthen the game’s competitive ecosystem and bring high-stakes action to a wider audience.

Global Event Line-Up for 2025
The 2025 Honor of Kings (HOK) season will focus on three global events: the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 3, Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason, and the year-ending Honor of Kings Championship. These events aim to cater to the game’s growing fanbase and provide elite competition platforms for players worldwide.
Honour of Kings Invitational Season 3: Set to launch in spring, this event marks the first of the 2025 global competitions. Although exact location and size details are yet to be disclosed, hints suggest the event will be held close to Jakarta, Indonesia.
Honour of Kings Invitational Midseason:
Scheduled for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this midseason event will feature a substantial prize pool, potentially in line with the $3.05 million (~£2.35 million) offered in 2024. The midseason tournament may coincide with the Esports World Cup, where HOK tournaments continue to attract top talent.
Honour of Kings Championship:
Concluding the 2025 season, the final tournament will feature the best players, although specific dates and locations are yet to be announced.
Regional Leagues and New Ecosystem Features
Level Infinite also plans to add two regional leagues, HOK Major East and HOK Major West, aimed at increasing local-level competition and player engagement. Details on the regions included in each league will be clarified soon.
The publisher further introduced a new third-party tournament application page, enabling organisers to apply for licences based on tournament scale. Additionally, the 2025 season will shift to a global champion ban system, disallowing any banned champions in subsequent rounds of a series, adding a strategic twist to the competitive format.
The announcement, made by James Yang, Senior Director of Global Esports Center at Level Infinite, reflects a commitment to both player experience and audience engagement. The 2024 Honor of Kings Championship final, which saw Black Shrew Esport defeat Dominator Esports 4-0, reached a peak of 387,000 viewers, demonstrating strong growth and high expectations for 2025.
