Like most of them, Pakistani bowler Haris Rauf is also in the USA with his family. At this point, he was seen engaging in a fight with a fan. The video of this unwanted moment has gone viral.

Haris was walking with his wife when a few fans interrupted, asking for a selfie. The video doesn’t clearly capture their conversation, but Haris appeared to lose his temper and moved aggressively towards the fans. His wife tried to calm him, but Haris removed his slippers and ran towards the fans. He nearly got into a fight before one of the fans intervened and stopped him.

In the video, the fan was seen saying, “Ek picture maangi hai bas.” While replying to this, the Pakistani bowler said, “Indian hoga yeh.” Then the fan replied, “I’m from Pakistan.”

Rauf’s Statement:

After the video went viral, Pakistani bowler Haris Rauf received backlash for his rude behavior to the fans. After that, he gave a statement on social media. In the statement, he said, “I decided not to bring this up on social media, But now that the video is out, I feel it is necessary to address the situation. As public figures, we are open to receiving all kinds of feedback from the public. They are entitled to support or criticize us.”

Later he continued saying, “Nevertheless, when it comes to my parent and my family, I will not hesitate to respond accordingly. It is important to show respect towards people and their families, irrespective of their professions.”

Pakistan has a forgettable outing in the T20 World Cup 2024. Out of four matches, they registered a win in just one game. They failed to showcase their dominance and made an early exit from the tournament. Babar Azam who was reappointed as the skipper of the team, failed to take the team to the Super Eight stage. That was a huge setback for the team.
