” I think he also should not have done that, he should not be surprised too.” Tamim Express His Thought about Sodhi Moment

The World Cup is around the corner. All teams are preparing for the last time. In this way, Bangladesh is now facing New Zealand at home in an ODI series. This is the last time the rehearsal stage for each team. But in this match, something unusual happened. New Zealand player Ish Sodhi, who was run out backing up in the non-striker got called back by the Bangladesh players. This incident took place on the 46th over of the match. But Bangladesh player Tamim was not happy with this decision.

Tamim’s saying on this incident:

On the second ODI between Bangladesh and New Zealand, this incident took place. On that run out Tamim said,” I don’t see anything wrong in it. The rule is there. If we get someone out of us gets out in that manner, I don’t think we should react the way people are reacting nowadays.”

Later he added,” I think it is a team decision. We will talk about it after today’s incident. If it is a team decision that we will take wickets in this way, we will. If we don’t want to take it, we will not try it. I don’t think it looks good to bring back a batter after getting him out. Either we take it, or we don’t do it.”

Tamim’s comment on Ish Sodhi:

On Ish Sodhi, Tamim said,” I think he also should not have done that, he should not be surprised too. Whether we take it or not, it is the team’s call. I was surprised by his reaction. It is now part of cricket.

Later he said,” There’s no need for a warning here. It is like a bowled out. Maybe the captain felt that we wouldn’t take that wicket. So he called him back. There’s no right and wrong. Either you do it, or you don’t do it. Nothing wrong with either. I think we should discuss as a team if we want to do it or not. Going forward, I think you will see a lot of teams taking advantage of this.”

This is the last series both teams are playing before the World Cup. After that, both will travel to India to play in the big tournament. Before the actual matches, all teams will play two warm-up matches. On September 29, New Zealand will face Pakistan in their first warm-up match. And on October 7, New Zealand will play the last warm-up match against South Africa.

Bangladesh will also play their first warm-up match on September 29 against Sri Lanka. On October 2, Bangladesh and will England face each other in the second warm-up match.  On October 7, Bangladesh will kick off its World Cup journey against Afghanistan. On the other hand, New Zealand will start its journey by facing the Netherlands on October 9.
