ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Most Wickets: Updated After AFG vs PNG Match 29

Every day of the ICC T20 World Cup unfolds new exciting and interesting matches for all cricket lovers. We have four different matches of World. On one side, the West Indies faced New Zealand, on the other side, Bangladesh faced the Netherlands. Also, England faced Oman and Afghanistan faced Papua New Guinea.  After this match, let’s explore the standings of bowlers in most wicket charts.

The Bowling Performance of West Indies and New Zealand:

After winning the toss, New Zealand opted to bowl first. While bowling first, New Zealand got the early breakthrough in the very first over. Then they picked up a couple of wickets in the first powerplay. After that till the middle overs, they got a few more wickets but the West Indies player Sherfane Rutherford brilliantly stood up for his team and put up a fighting total of 149 runs in front of the Kiwis. Trent Boult got 3 wickets. Tim Southee and Lockie Ferguson picked up 2 wickets each.

While defending the total, West Indies gave a lot of chances to New Zealand but they couldn’t utilize it properly. As a result, they kept losing wickets and eventually, they lost the game as well. West Indies bowler Alzarri Joseph did a brilliant job and picked up 4 important wickets of New Zealand. Gudakesh Motie picked up 3 wickets. Andre Russell and Akeal Hossain picked up 1 wicket each.

The Bowling Performance of Bangladesh and Netherlands:

After opting to bowl first, Netherlands made a good start and got early wickets as well. Despite losing wickets, Shakib Al Hasan and Tanzid Hasan made a good partnership which helped their team a lot. After that, the Netherlands broke that partnership and took a few more as well. They restricted them to 159 runs. From the Netherlands’s side, Aryan Dutt and Paul van Meekeren picked up 2 wickets each. Tim Pringle got 1 wicket.

While defending the total, Bangladesh didn’t do well and conceded too many runs. Once they started taking wickets they didn’t stop. They won the match by 25 runs. Rishad Hossain picked up 3 wickets and Taskin Ahmed took 2 wickets. Mustafizur Rahman, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, and Mahmudullah picked up 1 wicket each.

England’s Brilliant Bowling and Oman’s Average Bowling:

The England vs Oman match was the shortest match of the day. While bowling first, England rattled Oman’s batting lineup before Oman started to score runs. Oman scored only 47 runs. Adil Rashid picked up 4 wickets. Mark Wood and Jofra Archer picked up 3 wickets each respectively.

While defending the small total, Oman picked up 2 wickets. In 4th over, England won and wrapped up the match. Kaleemullah and Bilal Khan picked up 1 wickets each.

While bowling first, in 10 overs, Afghanistan picked up a couple of wickets and did out half of PNG’s batters. Fazalhaq Farooqi picked up 3 wickets. Naveen-ul-Haq got 2 wickets.Noor Ahmad picked up a wicket as we and PNG scored 95 runs.

While defending, Afghanistan lost wickets in the first few overs. But it was Gulbadin Naib and Azmatullah Omarzai’s partnership that gave Afghanistan victory. Alei Nao, Semo Kamea, and Norman Vanua picked up 1 wicket each.
