Bumrah had recently impressed the Cricket fans with his leadership skills. He smoothly handled the team India in BGT against Australia.

The task to lead the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against  Australia when India had recently gone through the white wash by New Zealand.

Harry Brook Reaches Career-Best Ranking

England’s Harry Brook has climbed to his career-best No.2 position in the ICC Test batting rankings, achieving an impressive rating of 854. 

Brook’s stellar performance in the first Test against New Zealand, where he scored a magnificent 171, propelled him up the ladder, overtaking India’s Yashasvi Jaiswal. 

This rating surpasses the career-highs of legends like Graeme Smith and Misbah-ul-Haq. 

Brook’s consistency throughout the year, including a 317-run effort against Pakistan, cements his place among the world’s top batters.

R Ashwin Loses No.2 All-Rounder Spot

India’s R Ashwin, who held the No.2 spot in the ICC Test all-rounder rankings for two years, was displaced by South Africa‘s Marco Jansen. 

Jansen’s spectacular performance against Sri Lanka, where he took 11 wickets, catapulted him to second place, just behind Ravindra Jadeja.

Ashwin remains in the top five Test bowlers, securing the No.4 spot, but this update reflects the competitive nature of international cricket. 

Jansen’s rise also highlights South Africa’s resurgence, with his bowling efforts making a significant impact on the rankings.
