New Selected Members of ICC Associate Member Directors:

The election for the Associate Member Director roles took place during the ICC’s five-day Annual Conference. This critical segment of the conference involved selecting new representatives, marking a significant aspect of the event and shaping the future of the ICC Board with the newly elected members.

Following the Associate Members’ Meeting Terms of Reference, the election was held during the Formal Associate Members meeting using a weighted secret ballot. Each voter, including Voting Associate Members and Regional Representatives, was allotted three votes, ensuring a structured and confidential voting process. This method was employed to fairly determine the new ICC Associate Member Directors.

Mubashir Usmani, General Secretary of the Emirates Cricket Board, made a strong comeback, securing the highest number of votes in the Associate Member Board elections. Usmani received 23 votes, leading the race for three positions. Imran Khawaja from Singapore followed with 20 votes, while Mahinda Vallipuram secured 13 votes. Out of 11 candidates vying for these roles, the elected members will serve a two-year term on the ICC Board.
