Despite his recent form struggles, Nayar expressed confidence in Rahul’s ability, citing his impressive performances during India’s last tour to South Africa. “KL is someone who understands his game well. We’re hopeful that the combination between him and Gautam Gambhir will bring about a turnaround,” Nayar said.
Rahul has been in and out of India’s Test squad, accumulating 2901 runs in 51 matches at an average of 34.12, yet he has struggled to secure a permanent spot.
