India Bound For Mohali, Ahead Of Series Against Australia

India won the Asia Cup against Sri Lanka in one of the easiest ways. Sri Lankan bowlers were just blown out in front of the Indian pacer. Mohammed Siraj was just into another spell. He just didn’t let the Sri Lankan batter stand tall in front of his fiery pace. He registered one of the best bowling figures in his career. Before that India will face Australia in a three-match ODI series on home soil. The clash will begin on September 20.

The first ODI is scheduled to be held in Mohali on September 20th. India’s squad for this ODI series is yet to be announced. It will be announced today. It seems like the World Cup squad of India will play the series. It will be a rehearsal stage before heading for the World Cup.

In the final clash before Asia Cup Axar Patel sustained an injury. He was out for the Asia Cup final. Washington Sundar replaced him in the finals. It is doubtful for Axar to be a part of the ODI series against Australia. The official added,” Team will be picked soon for the series and boys will be asked to assemble in Mohali on September 20.”

This ODI series is going to be important for Shreyas Iyer. In this series, he can retain his spot. He came back in the Asia Cup from a long injury. Before the India-Pakistan match Iyer sustained a back spasm. He didn’t play any matches after that. Before the World Cup, it is going to be a big platform to showcase the talent.
