In a significant reshuffle of the ICC Men’s Test Player Rankings, Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has reclaimed his position as the No. 1 ranked bowler. This achievement comes after his impressive performance during India’s recent seven-wicket victory over Bangladesh in Kanpur, where he took six wickets in the match. This marks the second time Bumrah has held the top spot, having previously achieved this ranking earlier in his career.

Bumrah’s current rating stands at 870 points, just one point ahead of teammate Ravichandran Ashwin, who also performed well with five wickets in the same match. Jaiswal now trails only England‘s Joe Root and New Zealand‘s Kane Williamson on the list of top Test batters. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli has made a notable return to form, climbing six places to sixth overall after scoring 47 and an unbeaten 29 against Bangladesh.

Rising Stars in Sri Lanka
In addition to Indian players making headlines, Sri Lankan cricketer Kamindu Mendis has also seen a rise in his rankings following a century in his recent series against New Zealand. He improved five places to reach 11th, marking a new career-high rating. Fellow Sri Lankans Dinesh Chandimal and Angelo Mathews have also moved up in the rankings, showcasing their ongoing contributions to their national team.
