He played an outstanding innings of 111 runs in 47 balls. He smashed 11 boundaries and 8 over-boundaries and batted with a strike rate of 236.17. Captain Suryakumar Yadav played an exceptional innings of 75 runs in just 35 balls. He smashed 8 boundaries and 5 over-boundaries with a strike rate of 214.29. 

After their dismissals, Hardik Pandya and Riyan Parag played two quick-fire. Riyan played a thrilling knock of 34 runs only in 13 balls with 1 boundary and 4 over-boundaries. On the other hand, Hardik Pandya missed his well-deserved half-century just by 3 runs. He played a knock of 47 runs in 18 balls with 4 boundaries and 4 over-boundaries. With those exceptional knocks, Team India put on a massive total of 297/6.

Historic Milestone by Team India: 

With their spectacular performance, Team India reached a historic milestone. Their score of 297/6 is now the highest total recorded by a full-member nation in T20I history. Previously, Afghanistan held the record with a score of 278/3 against Ireland in 2019. India’s former best was 260/5 against Sri Lanka in 2017.

Additionally, India achieved the second-highest score in men’s T20I history. Last year, Nepal set the record with an incredible total of 314/3 against Mongolia. This remarkable feat by India not only showcases their batting prowess but also cements their place in T20I history.
