India vs Bangladesh: Arshdeep Singh Swings The Ball, Sends Litton Das Back To The Pavillion In T20 World Cup Warm Up Match

India and Bangladesh cricket teams are currently engaged in a warm up match at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.

The match is a starter being served ahead of the opening matches in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. India’s opening match I’m the series is on 5 June against Ireland in Nassau County International Cricket Stadium. 

The toss was won by India, after which team they chose to bat first while Bangladesh bowled. The Indians have set a score of 182/5 and Bangladesh need to score 183 runs to win today’s fixture.

Arshdeep Singh takes wickets 

Indian bowler Arshdeep Singh has stunned the Bangladeshi batsmen with two wickets taken. The first wicket was of Bangladeshi batsman Soumya Sarkar.

Soumya lost his wicket as Arshdeep Singh bowled and Rishabh Pant took a daring catch to dismiss him.

The second wicket was of Litton Das. Litton is a wicketkeeper batsman in the Bangladeshi cricket team and was bowled out by Arshdeep Singh’s ball.

On Arshdeep Singh’s in-swinger bowling, Litton was a little too slow in putting his bat down. The angle Singh bowled at, was in favor of the team Blue as Litton was dismissed by a clean bowled.

Spumya Sarkar had scored 0 runs in 2 balls while Litton had just gotten started, with 6 runs off 8 balls.

Rishabh Pant plays impressively, retires after 50

Indian Batsman Rishabh Pant has returned to the game after an unfortunate break he took, because of a road accident back in December 2022. 

Pant had captained for IPL team Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024 and was one of the best assets in the team as well.

Rishabh Pant was impressive in his performance in today’s game, scoring 53 runs off 32 balls, with a strike rate of 165.62.

Rishabh however, had a silent celebration with his partner, Suryakumar Yadav with a little nod as he walked off the field. Pant retired from the match after scoring 53 runs, in order to give the other players a chance to “warm up” ahead of the big game on June 5.
