A Long-Awaited Pilgrimage
Akash Deep’s journey to the temple was not just about faith; it was a personal milestone. After the second Test held in Kanpur, he made his way to Ayodhya, where he could finally pay homage to Lord Ram. “I’ve been dreaming for a long time to have darshan of Lord Ram and especially since the day this temple was built,” he shared with ANI. Despite being unable to visit earlier due to cricket commitments, he often watched videos of Lord Ram in the temple.
Upon entering the temple, Akash expressed a profound sense of familiarity: “Today, I saw him but it didn’t feel like it was my first time; it felt like I’ve been seeing him every day. Lord Ram’s image has been added to my memory since I first saw the videos of him in this temple. I’m at peace now.”

While many athletes visit temples with specific wishes or goals in mind, Akash Deep approached his visit with a broader perspective.
